The Diamond series is the ultimate turning center.  As a Swiss-type lathe, it’s the fastest metal remover in Cubic Machinery’s lineup and filled with unique features not found anywhere else. 

The Diamond has large tooling capacity, an optional subspindle for backworking, and a unique rotating B-axis for angular machining.  The new Diamond 12 and Diamond 42 feature an integrated spindle virtually eliminating vibration for ultra-high speed cutting.

The Diamond series is available in various turning diameter sizes ranging from the compact 12mm  (Diamond 12) to the 42 mm giant (Diamond 42). 

The new  Diamond 12/16CSL is a state of the art Swiss-type lathe for turning 12mm(0.51") and 16mm(0.67") parts.  A full featured Diamond 12/16CSL has 10 axes, 4 OD turning tools, 5 ID stationary turning tools, and 5 cross-milling driven tools reside on Y1 axis unit.  The Y2 axis unit features 2 OD turning tools, 5 ID stationary turning tools, and a unique B-axis tool unit.

The fully programmable B-axis unit holds 6 more driven tools for milling and drilling operations and is capable of swiveling 360°.  When combined with the machine's C-axis capability on both spindles, the Diamond 12/16CSL can do angular milling and off-center drilling very easily. Both the main and sub-spindles feature integrated design with built-in motor, capable of an astounding 12,000 rpm.
